Avondale Anime and Comicon 2019

Cowabunga Corner appearance scheduled for Avondale Anime and Comicon 2019 in Rochester Hills Michigan.  I, Michele Ivey, will be there with some of my collection items on display for everyone to see.  We hope to see a lot of friends who can take the time to swing by.  Here’s some event details.

When: April 13th, 2019

Where:  Avondale High School, 2800 Waukegan St, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326

Cost: $5

The Cowabunga Corner booth will have movie props, original art, toys, and more on display.  Some items will be allowed to view closer upon request.  And of course we’ll be happy to share the history about the different items that we will have on display.

Items that might be on display at Avondale A&C 2019Photos: Pictures of the booth and props are allowed for free while in the display case.  Though if you wish to have a photo holding select items such as an original ooze canister or the Combat Cold Cuts props used in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, there will be a small fee of $5.   - Movie props that can not be held or touched are both heads, Michaelangelo and Leonardo as well as Michaelangelo's hands from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3.  Also Tokka's hand from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze.  While these props will be on display and photos are allowed in the case, they are old and the more they're touched the more damage it will be to the prop.  This is for their own protection and our chance to keep seeing them at events.

There may be other events held at the booth.  We will have a booth schedule to let people know what all we have to offer for the attendees of this fun one day event!  One of the things that will be shared at the convention will be the scheduled time for a “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles History Panel” to talk about the 35 years of TMNT.  Which will include a slide show, fun facts, and if there’s time a short question and answer time at the end of the panel, open for all areas of Ninja Turtle themes.

Have Facebook?  Please let us know if you’re interested in attending Avondale Anime and Comicon 2019 on the Cowabunga Corner event page at : https://www.facebook.com/events/991704541030714/

We encourage all of our readers to also check out Dave Ivey’s booth.  He is my father, when I was growing up he was the art director of a local TV show known as the Ghoul show.  He’s also worked on Wolfman Mac’s Nightmare Sinema and Wolfman Mac’s Chiller Drive in.  Some locals may know some of his art from Erebus Haunted House in Pontiac, Michigan.

Hope to see everyone there!
